Hotel SPA Medical Dwor Elizy ("Elisenhof", Sanatorium nr I "Piast")
Between 1875- over the bridge on the Nysa Kłodzka river, on the eastern side of "Zdrojowy Park" , George Hancke (owner of the whole health - resort) has build a comfortable guest house called “Elisenhof’. It’s southern part had 2 levels, northern 3 levels and it was situated towards the park. It was made of red brick and risen on a stone foundation. The whole building was covered with flat roofs. With the end of the XIX century 3 balconies were added from the western side.
The main entrance was decorated with a portico and above it there was a covered balcony. Additional entrance to the guesthouse was located in the north with another balcony supported by two columns. On the south side on the first floor was a small balcony. Façade was decorated with cornices and friezes. In the 30s Twentieth century building was rebuilt. There was one level added, some balconies were removed and the whole building was simplified. A small extension was added from the nothern side. There was 34 rooms, most of them with masonry heaters.
"Elisenhof" was known as comfortable and well equiped guest house. At the rear of the building was a large garden stretching to the river bank.
After 1945 it was owned by company called "Społka Bracka" and used until 1951 as a vacation house for their employees. Later on after nationalisation it was owned by Długopole Zdroj health resort. Since then it was known as Sanatorium nr 1 ‘Piast’. Facility had 115 beds mostly in dormitory rooms.
In the back was located one floor, an elongated building, sewing room and laundry build for the needs of health resort. In 1985 there was an attempt of renovation. The whoole building was plastered and wooden beams were replaced with steel. There was a plan of making en-suite bathrooms and new dining room. Lack of funds caused a break in a renovation and since 1986 the whole building was unoccupied. Laundry was the only part that was still in use until 1997. Everything was changing into a ruin. In 2005 it was sold to a private investor, who after two years sold it again to a new owner who transformed the old building into a luxury Hotel SPA Medical Dwor Elizy.
